Eligibility
(A) Age Limits:
Not less than 17 years and not more than 21 years on 1st August. 2011. The upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes and certain other categories of candidates to the extant specified in the Notice.
(B) Educational Qualifications:
Must have passed in the first or second division, the intermediate or an equivalent examination of a University or Board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.

(C) Physical Standards:
Candidates must be physically fit according to the regulations given in Appendix-II of the Rules for Special Class Railway Apprentices’ Examination 2011 published in the Gazette of India dated 25th March 2011.

(B) The candidates may also apply offline in the New Common Application Form (Form-E) devised by the Commission for its examinations which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices (specified in Appendix III of the Notice published in the Employment News dated 26.06.2011) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.30 - (Rupee Thirty only). Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination.
In case of any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms (Form-E) the designated HPOs/POs, the candidates should immediately contact the concerned post master or UPSC’s “FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING CELL” over Telephone No. O11-23389366r / Fax No. O11-23387310.
