Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)-2012

In accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of Section 23 of the RTE Act, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) vide Notification dated 23rd August, 2010
and subsequently amended vide Notification dated 29th July 2011 had laid down the minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in classes I to
VIII. It had been inter-alia provided that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in clause (n) of Section
2 of the RTE Act is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the
NCTE.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central
Board of Secondary Education, Delhi which will be held on 29.01.2012 (Sunday).

The ministry of human resource development, govt of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the central teacher eligibility test (CTET) to the central board of secondary education Delhi which will be held on 26th June, 2011
The CTET shall apply to schools of the central govt (KVS, NVS, Tibetan schools, etc) and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands
CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET
Schools owned and managed by the state govt/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the state govt. However, a state govt can also consider the CTET if it decided not to conduct the state TET
Cost of CTET information bulletin and application form for general/OBC candidates Rs 500/-; for SC/ST/differently abled candidates Rs 250/-
The fee can be remitted in the following ways; through credit/debit card; through demand draft in favour of the secondary, central board of secondary education, Delhi drawn in any nationalized bank payable at Delhi. Write your name, address and registration number on the back of the demand draft

Note: 7 days grace time i.e. up to 07.12.2011 for receipt of Application Form will be allowed to the candidates belonging to remote areas viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur,

Eligibility criteria: The following persons are eligible for appearing in the CTET
Minimum qualifications for classes I-V: Senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 year diploma in elementary education (or its equivalent); or senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 year diploma in elementary education (or its equivalent), in accordance with the NCTE (recognition norms and procedure), regulations 2002; or senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4 year bachelor of elementary education (B.El.Ed); or senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 year diploma in education (special education)
Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks at B.A./B.Sc/senior secondary level is admissible for SC/ST/differently abled candidates
For this year only, a candidate with B.A./B.Sc with at least 50% marks and B.Ed qualification shall also be eligible for test for classes I to V, provided he/she undergoes, after appointment, an NCTE recognized 6 month special program in elementary education
Minimum qualifications for classes VI-VIII: B.A./B.Sc and passed or appearing in final 2 year diploma in elementary education (or its equivalent); or B.A./B.Sc with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year bachelor in education (B.Ed); or B.A./B.Sc with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year bachelor in education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (recognition norms and procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard; or senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4 year bachelor in elementary education (B.El.Ed); or senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4 year B.A./B.Sc-Ed or B.A. (Ed)/B.Sc. (Ed); or B.A./B.Sc with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year B.Ed (special education)
A diploma/degree course in teacher education recognized by the national council for teacher education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of diploma in education (special education) and B.Ed (special education), a course recognized by the rehabilitation council of India (RCI) only shall be considered
Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks at B.A./B.Sc/senior secondary level is admissible for SC/ST and differently abled candidates
Pattern of examination: The CTET examination will be of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs). There will be no negative marking
There will be 2 papers of CTET
Paper-I will be for a person who intend to be a teacher in classes I to V
Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII
A person who intents to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (paper I and paper II)

Admit card: The admit card will be sent by post under certificate of posting (UCP) to the candidate by 12.1.2012 however, the board will not be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to loss of admit card in transit. It will be the responsibility of the candidate to contact to the board in case he/she is not in receipt of the admit cards by 18th January, 2012

In case the admit card is not received by 18th january 2012, the candidate should contact the Assistant Secretary (CTET), central board of secondary education, Shiksha Sadan, 17, Institutional Area, Rouse Avenue, Delhi-110002 between 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. giving details of the post office, date of dispatch, original receipt of postal dispatch, Photostat copy of the application form/confirmation page, one photograph (as pasted on the application form). Request for issue of admit card after the examination will not be entertained. In no case the duplicate admit card would be issued at the examination centres

Wherever the Bank decides to hold the written test, the short listed candidates in the order of ranking in the written test (above minimum qualifying marks) as per the cut-off marks determined by the Bank shall be called for GD/Personality test / Interview and the decision of the Bank in this regard is final.

APPLICATION FEE (INCLUDING INTIMATION CHARGES) (NON-REFUNDABLE):

Rs. 50/- (as intimation charges only for SC/ST/PWD candidates) and Rs.500/-per application (including Intimation Charges) for other candidates. Requisite Fees is to be paid in any of the notified Core Banking Branch of the Bank by Fee Payment Receipt, the print out of which can be downloaded from the website. Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will NOT be refunded on any count nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. THE ORGANISATION  The Food Corporation of India (FCI), one of the largest Public Sector Undertakings, dealing with Foodgrain supply-chain management wishes to recruit young and skilled Category III personnel for manning posts in its depots and offices spread all over the country. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals who fulfill the prescribed qualifications and age etc. for the posts indicated below. Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Government of India, will make recruitment to these posts on behalf of the Food Corporation of India under special dispensation given by the Government. The candidates selected through this recruitment for posts in FCI will NOT, however, have the status of Central Government Civilian Employees. SELECTION PROCESS FOR GENERAL, DEPOT, ACCOUNTS AND TECHNICAL CADRES:
Selection for the posts will be based on a Written Examination which will be conducted by Staff Selection Commission. The examination will consist of two papers as detailed below for Post Codes A, B and D for General, Depot and Accounts Cadres. Candidates applying for Post Code C for [Technical Cadre] will appear in Paper-I and Paper-III. The examination in paper III will be of degree level. Paper I and II will be of Higher Secondary Level.

HOW TO APPLY

1. Application can be made in both online and offline mode. Online applications may be filed at http://www.ssconline.nic.in and http://www.sscregistration.sifyitest.com. Offline applications may be submitted to the Regional/ Sub-Regional Offices of the SSC as given in Annexure-II.

2. Candidates are required to submit only one application irrespective of the number of posts opted for.

3. Candidates may pay the application fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) by SBI Challan in case of online application or by CRF Stamp in case of offline application.

4. Application fee is not required for SC/ST /Ex-Servicemen and PH and all women candidates, subject to submission of Caste/Disability/Discharge Certificate in the prescribed form from Appropriate Authority in support of his/her claim.

5. No documents are required to be sent to SSC alongwith the application. Therefore, the candidate should satisfy himself that he/she is eligible for the post(s) for which option is exercised and that they possess the required qualifications.

6. Option should be exercised by the candidates carefully keeping in view fulfillment of eligibility conditions, educational qualification etc. prescribed for the posts. OPTION ONCE EXERCISED SHALL BE
FINAL AND NO CHANGE WILL BE ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

7. Qualification in the written examination for any post without fulfillment of eligibility conditions will not confer any claim to the candidate for final selection for the post.

8. If any of the particulars provided in the application is found to be false on scrutiny of the documents, the candidature of such candidate will be cancelled forthwith.
