The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the UK building standards group, reported to the Government that without quick action to
recycle rare earths from electronics, the plan to achieve 15% renewable energy will be unattainable. (RecyclingToday)   Meanwhile, a plant under con­struction in Malaysia to refine REM concentrates risks turning the site radioactive. (NY Times)

Synergy Recycling’s new scrap processing system raises the bar for separation technology and volume, with higher concentration levels of metals and plastics recovery at the rate of 30 tons of scrap an hour. (Recycling Today)
