Olive unveiled First HSPA+ Android Phone

Last week we informed that Olive is ready to launch a HSPA+ Android Smartphone. Now, Olive certainly made it, by introducing OliveSmart V-S300.

Celebrating the launch of device, Mr Arun Khanna, Chairman, Olive Telecom says"We are pleased to introduce a breakthrough convergence device which is more than a conventional smartphone and offers cutting edge services that will appeal to generation-Y." 

Adding to the above he says, "This Android phone promises to be a game-changer with its rich looks and advanced features like 3G HSPA+, Android Gingerbread, Adobe Flash (10.1), DLNA, HD video and surround sound. With our sizeable R&D investments in the Olive Convergence range of mobile computing and communication devices, we are well-positioned to compete with the world’s leading brands,".

This smartphone is boxed with almost all the qualities of a smartphone existing in the industry currently. This Olive Smartphone is introduced by Olive mobiles and in association with Aircel. OliveSmart V-S300 is priced at Rs.20000/-

There is a bottle-neck competition between companies who introduce smartphones and combating within their product line. Innovations and technological developments has no frontier in this present scenario. Coming to this smartphone OliveSmart V-S300, there is a large display drawn to 4.1 inch featuring a multi-touch capacitive touchscreen. It is wrapped with 1 GHz Qualcomm's Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, with Adreno 205 graphics engine. This is coupled with a Flash ROM of 2GB eMMC and RAM of 512MB.

OliveSmart V-S300 is loaded with Google powered Android OS Gingerbread (v2.3), this is the latest version of operating system for smartphones from Google. This smartphone sports a 5 megapixel camera with flash and auto-focus and the secondary camera for video calling. Other than these, there are some other features which include a  3G HSPA+,  Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth v2.1, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor and 3.5 mm Audio Jack etc.

Down-the-line, this is also a social gizmo where it is bundled with many Social networking apps and can have an access to the Android market. It can also access Google Maps, Live TV, Push-mail and E-book reader.
