The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education will be held on May 1. The AFMC MBBS entrance exam, conducted by the Armed Forces Medical Services, will also be held on the same day.
For the convenience of students planning on sitting for both tests, authorities of the two Boards have mutually agreed on a timing that would be convenient for students. While the AIEEE will be held from from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, the AFMC will be conducted from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
A circular put out by the CBSE says that, "If a candidate's allotted examination centre for the AIEEE and the AFMC are in different cities, the CBSE will consider changing the examination centre of the candidate to the city where he has to take his or her AFMC test." The circular adds that this would be subject to the availability of the seat and fixation of AIEEE examination centre in that city and on production of the AFMC Entrance Examination Card, and that it would be on the sole discretion of the CBSE and not the claim of the candidate.
