Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is conducted by Anna University (AU) for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the various AU affiliated colleges in Tamil Nadu. Apart from MBA it is also conducted each year for the students who aspire to pursue MCA, M.E, M.Tech, M.Arch, and M.Plan. Some other universities and Self?Financing Engineering Colleges may also opt to admit the students on the basis of TANCET for their quota of seats.

Eligibility
MBA
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or a pass in any degree with 10 + 3 (Diploma) + 3 years pattern.
MCA
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with mathematics/statistics at degree level or mathematics at 10 + 2 level or a pass in 10 + 3 (Diploma) + 3 years pattern with Mathematics at Diploma level or Mathematics / Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
M E / M Tech / M Arch / M Plan

Candidates who are appearing for final year / semester examination of the above qualifying degree can also apply for TANCET.
Examination Pattern
TANCET test papers contain objective questions with multiple choices. One mark is awarded for each correct answer and 1/3 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. No deduction is made for questions left unanswered.
