“Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” (COMEDK) is the body responsible for conducting the COMED-K Undergraduate Entrance Test in the state of Karnataka. It is the entrance test for medical, dental and engineering under graduate courses called COMEDK UGET , for candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS and BE. The entrance test is being conducted for merit determination of the students and for use by COMEDK member institutions only.
Courses
MBBS – Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
BDS – Bachelor of Dental Surgery
B.E – Bachelor of Engineering
B.Arch – Bachelor of Architecture
Eligibility
MBBS
The candidate must pass their Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination with 50% marks in the subjects like physics, chemistry and mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.
BDS
The candidate must pass their Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination with 50% marks with the subjects like physics, chemistry and biology.
B.E
The candidate must pass theirHigher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination with 45% marks in the subjects like physics, chemistry and mathematics (along with Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology or Electronics as optional subjects in place of Chemistry) with english as a compulsory subject. In case of SC/ST candidate the marks should not be less than 40%.
B.Arch
The candidate must pass their Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination with mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. In case of SC/ST a 45% marks is sufficient.
Examination Pattern
COMEDK UGET comprise of four papers – physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology. Physics and chemistry combined paper will be held in the morning followed by a combined paper of mathematics and biology. There is no negative marking for a wrong answer attempted by a candidate. For MBBS and BDSthe candidate must score 50% marks in the entrance test (PCB). For the SC/ST a score of 40% marks in the entrance test (PCB) is sufficient for MBBS.
Syllabus
There is no particular set of syllabus designed for theCOMEDK UGET entrance test. Questions are asked from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
