Haryana CEET - Common Engineering Entrance Test by NIT

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra conducts a Common Engineering Entrance Test for admission into four year B.E/B.Tech programs and five year B Arch courses in the government and private engineering colleges in Haryana. Haryana CEET is conducted to check the aptitude of the candidate in the desiring field of study.

B.Tech – Bachelor of Technology

B.E- Bachelor of Engineering

B.Arch – Bachelor of Architecture

Eligibility

BE/B Teach

The candidate must pass their Higher Secondary Examination from Haryana Board/CBSE or its equivalent with 50% marks physics, chemistry and mathematics and a pass in English. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exam are also eligible or three year diploma holder from Haryana Board of Technical Education are eligible for admission to the second year of BE/B Teach course under ?Lateral Entry Scheme?.

B.Arch

The candidate must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. No candidate with less than 50% marks in aggregate, shall be admitted to Architecture course unless he has passed an examination at the end of New 10+2 Scheme of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination or equivalent with mathematics as subject of examination at the 10+2 level, subject to the aptitude test.

Examination Pattern

Haryana CEET exam comprises of objective type multiple choice questions in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The medium of the exam is English and there is no negative marking system for a wrong answer attempted by the candidate.

During the time of admission, some seats are reserved for SC/ST, BC, armed forces personnel, children of freedom fighters, and physically handicapped sports persons. Certain percentage of seats is reserved under the domicile restrictions. For payment seats candidates outside the state are also considered. However, preference is given to the candidates who belong to the state of Haryana.

Syllabus

Questions in Haryana CEET (Common Engineering Entrance Test) are asked from Maths, Physics and Chemistry taught at 10+2 level in various boards across India.
